Emperor Han Solo AU

So remember that tumblr thread I contributed to a while back about "what if Han Solo accidentally became the Emperor"? (My contribution was "no, actually, Lando would make an excellent Grand Vizier.")

I started writing it and have been noodling away at it when I have some free time and inspiration ever since, and it's now at 23,000+ words and growing. No sign of coming near to an end point, but I do have a couple of plot bunnies for sequels/side stories that are GNAWING AT MY ANKLES and will have to be written someday, too.

Well, I'm enjoying it so far. But I don't like posting WIPs, so it's hard to keep up momentum, and there's actually a lot of worldbuilding that is needed for it so that it needs thought and re-working every so often. "Oh, in order to do that, I'll have to add in these other scenes earlier, which means this other thing here will need to be re-written ..."
