I just made my first icons ever!  Not bad, with only Paint and the utility that comes with my digital camera.  I have all of the American covers except the original Field of Dishonor, I think (because I loathe that cover).  Two of these were made for me by my mother a while back.  And I used some of the French covers because the new artist they have doing them is awesome, seriously, they should put those babies on the American editions.  All are shareable, please comment and credit.

Ooh - the French cover for Flag in Exile (I assume that's what the first one is) is lovely. Actually, all the French covers are lovely - I believe I'll snag those. Very nice!

The one with the sword? Yeah, that's Flag in Exile. Seriously, those French covers are art. They're new; apparently the French publisher is (like Baen did a while back) putting new covers on the books. The guy's deviantart is here: http://genkkis.deviantart.com/gallery/24898514

I actually love them so much, I thought about buying a print of them. Which nobody would ever say about any of the American covers. Some of them are quite good as book covers, but as art? Just not quite there.

Well, I had good images to start with--the HH books tend to have good, bold covers. And you should read at least the first five or so books in the series; they're the best. (On Basilisk Station, The Honor of the Queen, The Short Victorious War, Field of Dishonor, and Flag in Exile.) A kickass heroine and great space battles, what could be better?
