I just realized I never posted anything about this here.

starwarsficfest. You may have noticed there's been a sad slump in the number of Star Wars fanfics being written in the last few months. In an effort to counteract that, the starwarsficfest is trying to get as many new Star Wars fics (and other fanworks) posted in the month of July as possible. Anyone can participate; there are no obligations. You don't have to write a fic to submit a prompt, and you don't have to submit prompts in order to write or create a piece of art or a songvid or whatever strikes your fancy.
Here's how it works: now until May 16, we are collecting prompts for stories here. Prompts should have the era (Prequels, Original Trilogy, Extended Universe), character: cliche/plot point -- phrase/quote/image/idea.
For example:
PT, Owen: What he thought of Anakin, the one time they met -- family and blood
OT, General Madine: learning about the 2nd Death Star--fortune favors the bold
EU, Mara/Luke: The honeymoon -- this wasn't what I had in mind.
The FAQ is here.
You can submit as many prompts as you want, in any genre you want. The more the merrier! Each prompt will be assigned to a day in July, and will be available for claiming by May 20th. You post your fic/fanart/fanvid on the day that prompt is assigned to. Minimum word count is only 100 words, and no one will come after you if you have to back out. It should be a lot of fun.
