I'm watching Babylon 5: The Gathering (i.e. the made-for-tv-movie that was also the pilot episode) and I have noticed something that I never thought of before. If a telepath's scan of the victim and their memory of the attack is evidence in a court trial ... shouldn't a telepathic scan of the accused also count? So that they know he's telling the truth when he says he didn't do it?
I can see why it would be unethical to compel someone to allow a telepathic scan, but surely someone could volunteer to be scanned?
Of course, then it would have been a much shorter episode/movie. :)
