I just got my assignments for the ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
remix_redux, and bounced for joy when I saw who I got. (And no, you can't hear who until the stories are posted!) Then I went to her site and looked through her fic, and my joy dimmed a little. Because she's a great author who uses multiple viewpoints and weaves complex stories so while there's a lot of her stories/universes I'd love to play around in ... what I want to do with all of them is write sequels, not remix them. The easiest way to remix a fic is to take a non-viewpoint character and rewrite it through their eyes; alas, in my remixee's fic, the characters who aren't used as POV characters don't really interest me in the story. This will require thought.
