beatrice_otter: Peggy Carter handcuffed to a table (Peggy Carter)
Carter is fabulous, as always.  Her banter with Jarvis was great.

I do feel that with Anna they were almost trying too hard to make her What The Fangirls Want, in a way that makes her less plausible as a character.  But it's early days, yet, we'll have to see where they go with her character.  And, in any case, I would MUCH RATHER HAVE CATERING TO THE FANGIRLS than catering to the fanboys.

Jack Thompson is still an ass, but I thought he was a smarter ass.  And the FBI in charge of Dottie Underwood, that can't go well.  I do like the talk about the politics behind the SSR's transition in the post-war era.

The new scientist, I liked him, will be interested to see more.

On a related note, BOY HOWDY DO THEY WANT A LOVE TRIANGLE.  And are willing to shove it down our throats.  It would be nice if they gave it more time to develop so that, I dunno, we had some idea how PEGGY felt about it--I didn't really get the feeling she was into either of them?  Except as friends?

Rose!  Yay!  I'm glad to see her again.

All in all, a very flashy episode, lots of fun, but not as much substance to it as most of last year's eps had.
