I am insane. Why, oh why, did I do this to myself?
I signed up for both the regular Remix and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
bsg_remix despite the fact that they are due only a week apart. Over Easter. Gah!
bsg_remix is a bear. My fic turned into a monster. It's 22.5k words so far, which is really long for me, and it's not finished yet. It has two sections to go, probably about 4k words. It was due a couple of days ago, but the mods have given me a grace period since I am so far into it and know how it's going to end and all. I hope to finish it Monday, which is my day off. But because I am so frantically trying to pound this one out, I have yet to start on my regular remix.
Regular remix is due in a week. Next Sunday. And about all I've done is make a list of six or seven stories that I could remix and what angle I would take to them. Alas, the one that I really, really want to do would probably turn into another 20k word monster to do right, and I just do not have time. Well, stories are due on the 1th, but the archive doesn't open until the 22nd, which means that if worst comes to worst I can upload it unbetaed on the 16th and get it betaed and finished in that week the pinch hits are being written. It's doable. Really, it is, next week will be a lot less nuts professionally.
What else has been going on in my life. Well, the church I'm working at has 7am worship services all of Holy Week, which, gah, means I had to be at church bright-eyed and ready for the day at 6:30. I mean, they were very meaningful and added to my Lenten experience this year, but eee I am not a morning person. Then, of course, we had 7pm services for the Triduum, the Great Three Days (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday). I wish more people would come to the Triduum services, they are really profound and important, and also it's kinda meaningless to talk about Jesus being raised if he doesn't, you know, die first. And then tomorrow, there is Easter Sunday, and then I get a week or so of relatively lighter load.
I'm in two bands and taking tap lessons and really enjoying all of that.
There is still no word on any possibilities of a call.
