Question about Windows

Okay, you know those jump lists in Windows 7, those really cool lists of recently opened files that pop up for each program when you hover your mouse over them on the Start list?  The jump list for Word has disappeared.  Since it's the one I use the most, this is really not cool.  (I had my active WIPs pinned to the top of the list, so that they were there looking at me whenever I opened the program via the start list, and I could open them directly and easily with a single click without having to go looking for them.  And now that so-helpful list is gone!  Help!  How do I get it back?
