Miscellaneous Fic Recs
Mar. 1st, 2007 11:39 pmHere's an assortment of good fic I've read lately, in several different fandoms.
Star Wars:
The Sith Who Brought Life Day by Ophelia.
An Imperial officer loses a bet and has to get Darth Vader a present for Life Day. Funny, creepy, and oddly compelling look at life as a minor intelligence officer in the Imperial Navy.
Battlestar Galactica:
Going Native by

Felix Gaeta isn't who they think he is. Crossover with Star Trek (and, oh, it so works!). It's a wip, but it's being updated regularly and it really captures both shows and how alien they are to one another.

Billy doesn’t know a damn thing. Really.
Worth It by
jennyo
Dee and Laura talk things out like grown-ups: in the bathroom.
Farscape:
What's In a Name by cofax.
Because Pilot just doesn't get enough love.
Babylon 5:
Lie to Me by
kangeiko
Of Londo, and G'Kar, and the dreaming of dreams. Because in a show of intrigueing and compelling relationships (whether shippy or gen), Londo and G'Kar were the most tragic.
DC Comics:
The Mystery of the Bat by Basingstoke.
An AU. What if the good guys don't always make it?
The Next Best Thing to Normal by

Everyone thinks Jason has two mommies but he doesn't. He has his mommy, and he has his Aunt Pam, and they both love him very much and he loves them.
No, it's not that Jason. It's a wonderful story of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy from a very different point of view. It's a Batman: The Animated Series fic set after the Batman Beyond episode Return of the Joker. (In which we learn that Tim Drake (Robin) was captured by the Joker and Harley Quinn for three weeks. Many years later, Harley shows up with two young grandaughters.)
