My first LJ entry

Well, I think I'll start off with a bit about myself. I'm from Oregon, but I went to college at Luther College in Decorah, IA. I hated the weather, but I loved the school and the community. Now I'm living back home, working as secretary for a youth soccer club, and saving up money for seminary. (Yes, seminary. I want to be a Lutheran pastor.)

Which leads to my big news: I just got a scholarship offer from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg that would cover the cost of tuition completely! Wow! That is so cool. I hadn't decided between LTSG and Wartburg Theological Seminary. But now, unless Wartburg comes up with an equally enticing package ... it's looking like Gettysburg is the place to be.

Downside of that is that all my friends are in Iowa. Upside of that is that I'm a history buff, especially US history, and, well ... it's Gettysburg
