This gives me chills and tears just reading it; I can't imagine what it would be like to have heard it preached: Sermon on Hate Crimes.

I just got back from visiting a little fifth-grade girl in the hospital.  She was there because she was anorexic.  I just can't even--a fifth-grader.  So anorexic she needed a week and a half in the hospital.  God, have mercy.


On a lighter note, a friend of a friend is doing a survey of young adults for a class.  If you're 20-35, please take five minutes to fill out the Church Lady Survey.  (Whether or not you're a "churchy" person!)

She's home now, and they said she was doing well. But there will be lots of therapy and work with a nutritionist in her future. Thankfully, her parents seem to be taking this like the wakeup call it is and are very proactive about working with her.
