Here's what the Sci-Fi channel has to say about the possibility of an 11th season: not gonna happen unless MGM lowers the price it charges. Sci-Fi has a contract it will hold MGM to that says they can't put Stargate on any other channel, and the only way Sci-Fi will pick it up is if the price goes down.
Y'know, I'd thought that all the people who were complaining about the way Sci-Fi handled the cancellation were just whining--there's no good way to announce a cancellation. This however ... are they trying to make the fans mad? I can understand them not wanting to shell out the money for it. But saying no one else can take it over is just plain mean. And admitting in public that the cancellation is basically a ploy to get the price down does not exactly endear them to the fans of the show. Nobody likes getting jerked around, and that's what they seem to be doing.
