Oh my, this was perfect. You're right, there's so much important stuff in these episodes that was never talked about, but you've certainly got a good go at covering those gaps here! Of course Data would be too concerned with Geordi not coping properly to be able to see his own doing the same thing. Oh boys.

For all the horrible crap it caused, I think the events of Descent were the most invaluable lessons on humanity Data ever got - in my head canon anyway, since they never mentioned it again. Helped him learn and make sense of the darker muddiness of emotion and all that, a process you wonderfully show starting here.

You've got a really good Data voice, and I know that's not easy. And competent!Troi is a nice bonus. :D Thank you!
