Oh, I knew that, I enjoyed Sense8 (although I found the focused on the members of the cluseter I was least interested in).

And, you know, the difference between Augustine and Aquinas is twofold: first, Augustine did some great theology that is truly foundational and deservedly so, which should be kept, whereas most of Aquinas is ... just not as important, and nothing great would be lost in Christian theology if we got rid of him and all the stuff that depends on his ideas. On the other hand, Augustine was foundational in destructive ways, not just good ways. He took a lot of the free-floating sexism and gave it intellectual heft and weight and grafted it in to the foundation of Christian thinking on a lot of things. It's not that he was a worse misogynist than a lot of his contemporaries, predecessors, or successors; it's that he was more successful in injecting misogyny and sex-negativity into the core of Christian belief.
