Look, Ma, No Hands!

So I was reading a fic just a few minutes ago in which Our Heroine was shot in the stomach and miraculously, no organs damaged! It went all the way through her middle, but it's just a flesh wound! Which, of course, leaves her free to get it on with Our Hero when he confesses his undying love for her two days later. Because people who've been shot (and did I mention that he was shot, too? Only an arm wound, of course--a mere scratch) have so much desire and energy to spare for such shenanigans.
