DC Comics Plot BunnyWh

So, in this time of Global Warming, I have a question for both DC Comics and the people who write DC fic:

Why hasn't Mr. Friez been given a job mitigating climate change?!?

Seriously. This is an important question. I know he's got his revenge thing, but he's very stable, for a supervillain, and he has lots of applicable skills. I bet there are a LOT of climate change groups that would love to hire him to shore up glaciers across the globe.

I'm not sure if anyone wrote a story where such people tried to hire Victor Fries AKA Mr. Freeze for that. Or Captain Cold/Len Snart. Or any of the Killer Frosts. Or one of the Icicles. The first Killer Frost was seriously interested in large-scale stunts. So was Typhoon.

I need this. I do not want to write this. And I want Pammy to be rehabbed enough to start working erosion control, and pulling life back into stripped areas.

And if I didn't already have Freeze as our major medical scientist in SladeVerse, I'd do that with him. And her.

Well that universe also had villains with time travel powers who used that to get a jump on fashion trends to make money (i.e. The Fashioneer), rather than sending themselves some game scores to bet on with their ability to send things into the past. Or rob banks with portable weather control gadgets rather than just, IDK, selling their portable weather control invention... So underutilized powers seem pretty widespread.

There's probably some high level cosmic power in the DCU that prevents people with mid-level powers to use them to solve actual problems, so their world keeps resembling one without superpowers...

This is possibly the most tempted I've ever been to get into DC canon.
