In the arguments that people make for assisted suicide, it's always about not wanting to live in extreme pain if you're just going to die shortly anyway, especially if you challenge people about the ableism. And yet, if you look at places where assisted suicide is legal, and the reasons people who use it choose to do so, it's pretty much never about pain. It's about not wanting to be disabled, or not wanting to be a burden on your caretakers.
The solution is not killing disabled people, the solution is making the lives of disabled people better, with better care options.
