Me, whenever I see a character follow their arch-enemy up to a high point (ledge, bridge, catwalk, etc). to continue the fight: "um, okay, that's really stupid, why don't you stay on the ground where it's nice and safe and throw heavy things at them until you knock them off?"

Especially when one side has magic powers and can throw very large things.

Even if the one with the magic powers is the one up top! I would still rather be on the ground throwing things than swordfighting/kickboxing/whatever on a narrow bridge over a chasm.
